Editing and Compiling Video

Can this get any more awkward? I definitely understand my students twitchy "delete and restart" finger because I felt so insecure watching and hearing myself on the screen over and over... Being the only actor in the house, I am beginning to see why collaboration is so important and can really add so much value to a project.

After making a few videos on my own, I definitely am proud to say that I learned a lot about how to better use iMovie, GreenScreen, the iPad camera, LegoMovie, and YouTube, all great resources to know how to better use so I can share them with my students. But the process was not an easy one!

The video itself was compiled in iMovie on my iPad, which didn't provide a lot of features, so I ended up using LegoMovie to create a title page. I wonder if the desktop version has more options? We have Windows Movie Maker on our computers, and I think that would have been an easier tool to use to compile, but taking the videos on the iPad was definitely best. Also, the GreenScreen app is on the iPad, so I decided just to keep rolling with the one tool rather than transferring footage through Google Drive.

The finished film was easily uploaded to my YouTube account using the iPad, from where it can be embedded into this blog post. I hope you enjoy and appreciate your feedback :)
